Can Dorset beat Yorkshire?

I've just been reading about a blue plaque to commemorate where Tolkien stayed in Leeds. If people in Yorkshire can find the money, surely Dorset can match their efforts and arrange a plaque for Tolkien on The Three Cups Hotel. Oh and better order one for Chesterton ... and Tennyson ... and Jane Austen ... Longfellow ... Belloc. Need I go on?
